What is MAC makeup
MAC stands for Make-up Art Cosmetics, and is a leading manufacturer of makeup that is both trendy, highly modern and became famous through the word-of-mouth endorsement by professional makeup artists, models and celebrities.

The History of MAC Makeup
MAC was first started in 1985 in Canada by Frank Toskan and Frank Angelo. The first US MAC store opened in 1991 in Greenwich Village. It was acquired by the Estee Lauder Company in 1994. The original founder Frank Angelo died in 1997 due to complications during surgery.
Shortly following the buy-out, Frank Toskan the other co-founder of MAC makeup, left the company to start another AIDS Charity with his brother-in-law, Vic Casale, who was an original MAC chemist. That MAC AIDS Fund was continued by the new owners.
